Now that's a rapid!The Upper Nolichucky
The Upper Nolichucky is one of the wildest and most scenic rivers in the Southeast. It's exciting and challenging! From the start it drops into a ten-mile long gorge with class III- IV rapids. Paddlers do not need prior experience to enjoy raft or funyak. We'll guide you past rugged rock bluffs, crystal clear springs and mountains that rise to elevations of 3000'. After lunch, the river eases in intensity. This allows you to have a playful afternoon on the river, enjoying the majestic mountain canyon.
Minimum Age: 12 - Lunch Provided - Fully Guided - No Experience Needed

The Upper Nolichucky Express
This is a trip for those wanting all of the action in a short amount of time. The trade off is that you paddle non-stop to save a little time. It is a fast, hard dash down the Upper with no lunch. This trip is dependent on water level and the Lower may be substituted.
Minimum Age: 12 - No Lunch - Fully Guided - No Experience Needed

You'll have time to enjoy swimming in the quiet pools between gentle rapids and maybe hike to a cascading waterfall. You can turn it into a full day by adding our lunch option or bringing a picnic for afterwards.
